Pucker up!

One of my favorite things that I saw in Milan FW was the fierce lipstick colors! Fendi, Marni and Jil Sander were among the shows in which models wore bright red, pink and orange lips. I love it, it brings the spring/summer look all together and makes it fun and chic at the same time. And with lipstick like that you will barely need to add anymore makeup. What do you think?

The Bohemian 70's

Here is the Emilio Pucci collection and all I have to say is Peter Dundas, I love you! I am obsessed with the open lace-up boots! I want them sooo bad! And what about the crosses, ugh! I'm in love! I really really like this collection. It's super 70's from head to toe, with the head wraps to the prints and the colors. I can totally picture myself in these looks, of course shrunken to fit my little body! Long dresses like these make me wish I had legs for days! And even though I don't I would still wear them!

It's 90 degrees in Southern California right now, and honestly I've been ready for the fall. But after seeing some of the spring 2011 shows in Milan, I am once again excited about warm weather. There are so many looks that I have fallen in love with. Although I would love to show you each one, I don't want to overwhelm you with pictures, so I've shared a few of my favorites. I also split the post in to two because I loved the Emilio Pucci show and I couldn't just chose 1 or 2 looks from his line, the line deserves it's own post. Also, check out Dolce & Gabbana's show, they showcased 80 pieces and all 80 were amazing!

Burberry Prorsum, News and more

Today is the last day of London Fashion Week and British fashion house Burberry Prorsum debuted their Spring 2011 collection yesterday. Though I didn't love the entire collection, I think there were some amazing pieces like the shrunken trench coat, biker jacket and the leather pants. I am a huge fan of leather so I am really digging the pants. As for the minty green belts, I think they are perfect.
Today is also the first day of Milan Fashion Week. There we will see Gucci, Fendi, Prada, D&G and Moschino just to name a few. It can only get better :)
In other news, I have something exciting to share... I will be in New York at the end of October! I am extremely excited as I am in desperate need of a vacation. The last time I was in New York it was about 20 degrees and for a California girl that is unbearable. I pretty much looked frumpy the entire trip with my 8 layers of clothing. But now it is fall and packing will probably be a nightmare but Diane Von Furstenberg said "When you figure out your suitcase, you figure out your life. So find the essentials you need when you travel, use those in life, and you'll always look chic."

Fashionably late!

I know this night is history now but here are some pictures from Fashion's Night Out! A Current Affair, which was the vintage marketplace was amazing. They had nothing but treasures there, from vintage YSL to Betsey Johnson, amazing jewelry, shoes and bags. Surprisingly I didn't purchase anything and it probably had something to do with the hundreds I didn't have to spend on the items I really loved. After A Current Affair, we went to Marc Jacobs where they had a "Bang" photo shoot set up, it was a lot of fun! When it came to taking the picture I was all of a sudden filled with shyness. I had in mind the kind of face I wanted to make, but instead I just stood there like a little girl and smiled! Maybe next time I will remember that life is meant to be fun and sometimes you can't be afraid of making a fool out of yourself no matter who's watching!

Sweet tooth and Sweet memories

There are somethings in life that when you hear, see, touch or taste them, you are immediately overwhelmed with emotions. Sometimes those emotions are good and sometimes they are bad. In this case they are good! My sister just came back from Mexico where she celebrated Mexico's 200 years of Independence. She came home with some of my favorite goodies that both satisfy my tummy and my soul. If only you could see the cheesy grin I had on my face as she showed me my gifts. It is funny, but I have an emotional attachment to each treat, for example; Zucaritas or as we know them here in the U.S Frosted Flakes. They remind me of my dad because it's what he called them know matter what language the box was in. You are probably thinking why wouldn't I just buy a box of Frosted Flakes at the supermarket? well it's because they wouldn't say "Zucaritas," and for me that's the whole point! Little things like this also take me back to those days when all I worried about was a cavity. And just when you feel like you need a break from your hectic life, you are surprised with things like this that all of a sudden make everything better. In honor of my childhood, I toast with a bowl of Zucaritas!

Less is more...

Here is another fabulous collection for Spring 2011. Michael Kors hit the spot with every single one of his looks. The minimalist trend carries on and I can't complain because I am loving it. Fashion Week has moved to it's 3rd fashion capital, London! Can't wait to see what else is in store for us as Fashion Week moves from one fashion capital to another. I will be watching...
Cheerio my friends!

A Little Bit...

"Little Bit" Lykke Li

"Let it fall" Lykke Li

"Until We Bleed" Lykke Li ft. Kleerup

"Tonight" Lykke Li

I am just a little bit too in love with Lykke Li's album right now. Though it's been out for 2 years, It just hasn't gotten old for me. I was trying to come up with a favorite song but I couldn't chose one, they are all sooo damn good. However, I did chose a few and because I am not greedy, I share them with you :) Music is so important to my life, it gets me through my day, bad or good. It is a reflection of how we feel, where we are and who we are. Hit me, brutalize me with music. Leave me comment, I want to know what you've been listening to?

It feels like an Indian Summer

The summer arrived late this year in Southern Cali, luckily for me I have a lot of unused summer clothes to wear. Lately the days have been long for me, not to mention I've been feeling a bit down. But hey, no sad faces around here, after all I am grateful for all the wonderful things I have been able to do. I've also been brutalizing myself with music, so expect a play list from me soon along with more Spring 2011 fashion. Have a wonderful night my friends!
