New York Fashion Week is almost coming to an end and so far it looks like white is the new black and bright colors got brighter. Personally, I am open to white, but black is my favorite color, and there ain't nothin replacing my black :) Also, check out the ADAM collection, it's amazing. Every single piece was perfect, definitely a spring look to look forward to.

Treasure Hunting

On Sunday I went treasure hunting at the Rosebowl Flea Market, which is probably the best flea market in the US. It takes place every second Sunday of each month and with over 2,500 vendors (which include both my parents and sisters) you won't go home empty handed. I found some really cool things. $25 bought me a cropped sweater, overall shorts, the perfect lace corset, a long skirt and an amazing rusted color chiffon top.

As for my outfit, it was still very warm in Pasadena, so I decided to wear something lightweight. I am currently bored with sandals, so my barely worn vintage Laredo boots were perfect for the occassion. I longed for a pair for what seemed like forever, until I stumbled upon them for only $4...yes, I said $4. Can you say unbelievable?!

So far this is one of my favorite Spring 2011 collections. I love the colors, the fabrics and the perfect tailoring of each piece. I am completely in love with the bows and the sheer blouses. Every outfit is paired up very nicely, they are both classy and sexy. I love it!

I've been growing my hair for about a year now and seeing Freja with her amazing hair doesn't help my efforts to want to grow it. Is there a Freja wig that I could buy? She is just amazing!

Today was the first day of NY Fashion Week, it was kicked off with shows by Christian Siriano, Project Runway, Richard Chai, and Nicholas K just to name a few. Although there were a few good peices, I wasn't really impressed with anything. Let's hope as the week progresses we see some great collections.

Tomorrow is also Fashion's Night Out and I will be attending A Current Affair. I am very excited and though I am in no shape to splurge, I might just have to. I have an outfit in mind already and some very cool girls to join me! Happy Fashion Week everybody!

An outfit and Lookbook.nu opens it's doors to everyone!

This was fun, in fact I am starting to like doing photo shoots a bit too much:) This day included a birthday dinner, some shopping and walking around town. I've been wanting to wear this dress for quite some time. I simply love the pattern, shape and color combination, but my favorite thing about it is the collar! The dress I believe is from the 60's and the shoes are 60's/70's inspired. I put my hair up to show the collar and because it has a high neckline I thought it would be best in a bun. By the way, I absolutely love hair buns, the inspiration comes from Lykke Li, Feist and Lily Allen.

In other news, Lookbook.nu announced a little over a week ago that it has opened it's doors to everyone! Lookbook use to be by invitation only, you had to submit an application and they would send you an invite code. However the site has picked up a lot of popularity and they were flooded with applications, so they've decided to open it's doors. With that being said, if you want to show off your own looks now you can! It is super easy like joining Facebook, Myspace, twitter, etc. Unfortunately, you can't hype my look through anything else but a Lookbook account anymore! But you can "Like" a look through Facebook.

These are just a few amazing Fall shoes that I am currently lusting over. Yes, I know they are mostly all black, I can't help it. The wedge boot by Opening Ceremony is much much too perfect! I'm tempted to take money from my savings just for that pair. And how about the first pair of Nicholas Kirkwood's with lace, "Hello my name is Sexy." Are there any fall shoes you're lusting over?
