An outfit and Lookbook.nu opens it's doors to everyone!

This was fun, in fact I am starting to like doing photo shoots a bit too much:) This day included a birthday dinner, some shopping and walking around town. I've been wanting to wear this dress for quite some time. I simply love the pattern, shape and color combination, but my favorite thing about it is the collar! The dress I believe is from the 60's and the shoes are 60's/70's inspired. I put my hair up to show the collar and because it has a high neckline I thought it would be best in a bun. By the way, I absolutely love hair buns, the inspiration comes from Lykke Li, Feist and Lily Allen.

In other news, Lookbook.nu announced a little over a week ago that it has opened it's doors to everyone! Lookbook use to be by invitation only, you had to submit an application and they would send you an invite code. However the site has picked up a lot of popularity and they were flooded with applications, so they've decided to open it's doors. With that being said, if you want to show off your own looks now you can! It is super easy like joining Facebook, Myspace, twitter, etc. Unfortunately, you can't hype my look through anything else but a Lookbook account anymore! But you can "Like" a look through Facebook.

As for my outfit, I am wearing; Vintage dress and sunnies from Ay Que Vintage! and N.Y.L.A shoes

NICHOLAS KIRKWOOD

These are just a few amazing Fall shoes that I am currently lusting over. Yes, I know they are mostly all black, I can't help it. The wedge boot by Opening Ceremony is much much too perfect! I'm tempted to take money from my savings just for that pair. And how about the first pair of Nicholas Kirkwood's with lace, "Hello my name is Sexy." Are there any fall shoes you're lusting over? Share the love with me.

Penelope, Oh How I Love You...

Although I worked all weekend, it wasn't bad at all! George and I went out to eat in Santa Monica on Friday, and as we finished our food, I see Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz walk in, and it just so happens to be that they sit right next to us. I really had to control myself from being a crazed fan, so for respect of her privacy(since no one seemed to want to bother them) we paid our bill, and as I left the table, I gave her a token of admiration by slipping her a simple note that read "I love you!" She seemed surprised at first, after she read it they both smiled. I couldn't walk out before turning around one more time, and once again they both smiled as if saying thank you! And that concludes my cute story.
As I've mentioned before I love "Vicky, Christina, Barcelona," and after watching that movie I became an even bigger fan of Penelope Cruz. She is such a gorgeous, talented and powerful woman, therefore in her honor I dedicate this post to her! Viva Penelope!

Lanvin and H&M is official

This is absolutely amazing! Fact: There are only 3 Lanvin boutiques in the United States which are in; Las Vegas, New York and Bal Harbour. Lanvin is one of the oldest fashion houses still operating and Artistic Director Alber Elbaz is a genius. I can't wait to see the collection! Take a look at the the Fall 2010 ready-to-wear Lanvin collection.

LA participates in Fashion's Night Out!

Los Angeles city officials announced today that on September 10th, LA will be participating in Fashion's Night Out for the first time! It will join New York, Paris, London, Milan and many others to celebrate a night of shopping. I remember telling myself last year that it wasn't fair that only New York got a piece of this, so you can only imagine how excited I am. I definitely plan on going out that night, especially after checking out participating retailers such as; Marc Jacobs, American Apparel, Kill City, Fred Segal, and a pop-up vintage marketplace featuring different vintage retailers. All I have to say is you and I better save out money until then. For a list of participating retailers go to Fashion's Night Out.

Here is the PSA that was made for FNO New York featuring the worlds top models!

Lanvin for H&M!?

So word around the street or the blog world is that Lanvin will be the designer collaboration with H&M, which is a big freaking deal! WWD reported "PARIS — It looks like H&M has snared one of the hottest labels in Europe — Lanvin — for its next designer collaboration." I am super excited!

H&M posted another video this morning, the people featured are actors that are used to confuse us, how sneaky!
