Once upon a time...

...I was a Girl Scout, a little Brownie. It was then when I first fell in love with Thin Mints! And ever since, every time I see a Girl Scout cookie booth, I make a stop. Besides who could possibly say no to cute little girls in their Brownie uniforms asking "Would you like to buy Girl Scout cookies?"

I loved being a Girl Scout, it was an amazing experience. A couple of years ago when my best friend was battling cancer, I wanted to get her a "Get Well" gift, but I didn't want to get her flowers or balloons, I wanted something with more meaning. I decided to give her a box of Thin Mints and a note that said:

Thin Mints take me back to my childhood, a time in which I was happy with no worries at all. I thought that I would share it with you in hope that this small gesture would remind you of a time when you were happy and put a smile on your face.

Girl Scouts of the USA you rock and so do your cookies!

Frida Inspiration

Fashion Gone Rogue

When I saw this editorial I couldn't help but think what a perfect shoot it was! Frida Kahlo, an absolute beauty with all of her perfect "imperfections" has always been an inspiration in my eyes. Her famous floral hair pieces always made everything she wore look elegant. As I've mentioned before though my choice for color in clothes is always black, I can't wait for spring and summer to wear brights.

Recent Finds

Check it out, my most recent purchases. Some items were nearly dirt cheap, one was average and one perhaps more than my pocket could handle. But I love them all! Oh and the earrings are inspired by Gwyneth Paltrow's pair that she wore during her Grammy performance :)

The bedroom is where everything happens; where magic happens, where we dream, where we cry, where we ponder, where we imagine... The place where I like to blog. Bedrooms are sacred, and they really say a lot about who we are. One of my favorite things to do is redecorate my room, I really love to play with different furniture, bed spread, positioning of things and so on. My room is way over due for a paint job and I need new bed spread, but most importantly I need a new mattress and pillows. So for now, I am holding off on decorations and paint. Instead I am investing in a mattress and pillows and perhaps after new paint. I am thinking a rose pink or a blue green like the one in the first picture.

If you have any suggestions on color or a really great mattress please share it with me. I think we can all agree on how important a mattress and pillows are to our good night sleep!

Well if it isn't me? I have no excuses! But all that matters is that I am back and as much as I love fall and winter, I can't wait for spring and summer, I am looking forward to wearing reds, oranges and even pinks! Aren't the first set of photos amazing?! Daria and Lily shot in Peru, absolutely breathtaking. Every single photograph is vibrant, fashion and culture, the perfect combination. Over the last two months I've collected many images that I've fallen in love with, of course I plan on sharing them with you! So stay tuned.

Housewife or stay-at-home wife?

When there isn't a mirror use a knife. Amazing! I wonder, if she were looking into a switchblade, could she be Dexter's wife?

December is here and boy did it come fast! I am off this weekend so I hope to do a lot of decorating and shopping! This year however I am hoping to do a lot of on-line shopping for gifts. I've already gotten a few emails for free shipping which is exactly what I need. And since money is a bit tight during this time, I found a few knick knacks that are all under $15! They are fun little things that make great stocking stuffers! Where are you doing your holiday shopping?
